There will most likely be more reactions from the disease itself.

Those who don't vaccinate their children may well cause the death of the children of others.

Then the logic would follow that those who do vaccinate, may well cause harm to themselves from the drugs, in the long run. Think the antibiotic overuse, and discovery that we have created superbugs that have changed and become untreatable/harder to treat.

Vaccines and antibiotics are 2 different things. In the long run, vaccinated people live. The logic, actually, it's called science, is that someone who is protected doesn't ordinarily need an antibiotic.

I feel sorry for those who just don't understand science. It must make life terrifying for them like ancient peoples who feared thunder or an eclipse.

When did this anti-science, anti-intellectualism start up exactly?  I think this is why we are falling behind so many other countries today, instead of being the leaders of education, medicine, infrastructure and technology.  It's beyond pathetic.

As someone else stated here but may have meant differently, OY.

biancardi, I feel it's such a small minority of people who would go that far it would be a drop in the bucket. They are trying to convince themselves right now that they're empowered.

I was watching the news a couple of nights ago and this woman was sobbing and carrying on for the news crew. She vowed she would "even" home school her children if she had to. She did not appear to be a particularly apt candidate for that, however.

There is indeed homeschooling in California that is free. But there would be no babysitting by public school authorities. Parents would have to be...dundundun *responsible* for their kid's days.

He doesn't believe, fine, home school your kid!  That's how I feel.  Keep your germ magnet, unvaccinated kids home.  The rest of us educated people make sure our kids get them out of love.  We love our children enough to protect them, and keep them healthy.  I don't believe his pretzel science!

California requires homeschoolers to be vaccinated.

The crying lady is going to be disappointed.

LOL I didn't know that, nunya. Then I wonder why all these hysterical parents are vowing to home school, and why the press is calling it an option? Maybe they have to vaccinate IF the kids join up with other home-schoolers and do field trips, etc.

Here are all the states and requirements, every state law is different. 25 states don't require any vaccines at all for homeschoolers/
