Jill's Facebook page..her Act 2

I was just curious what folks think of Jill's next chapter on her Facebook page. I don't follow it daily but when I checked saw that she had posted a few family pics, hosted a book club, and some odds and ends. It was nice--but nothing that I'd see the need to actually "follow". Actually it seemed a bit ho hum to me. Maybe there's more to come down the road and this is just her early phase..but once you lose an audience I would think it's hard to get people back. Seems to me she'd want to keep people very interested from teh outset.

Just wondered what others might think about it. Is it what you were expecting given the way she advertised her Just Jill upon her Q exit?

So far, there hasnt been a second act for her. She's not doing any more than any of us do. She posts pictures of the kids, her yard an occasional corny joke. Connie Craig Carroll also hinted at exciting things but so far, so far nothing but endless phots of her and her son. We got the dog with makeup today, that was different. Jacqui did the same thing and pffffttttt no second act.

Don't make a point of following current or past hosts on Facebook, but have visited Carolyn Gracie on occasion when I think of it. We have a common interest...love animals.

I follow Jill on facebook and didn't go into it expecting anything dramatic so I'm not disappointed.

There are times when you must speak, not because you are going to change the opposing side, but because if you do not speak, they have changed you.

Personally I feel it is jill’s NEED to feel relevant and except for a few people....most are not interested in her life. A few will tag along for awhile. She should just leave and move on rather than drag the baggage from the past along with her.

I don't think Jill feels a need to be relevant. There is life after retirement and she seems to be enjoying herself. She had the time and freedom to do whatever she wants whenever she wants. I feel she is at peace and is enjoying her life. Good for her!

I've never 'followed' an ex-Q host. Just never think of it; but when there was chatter on here about her future plans............I kind of expected she would go to a home decorating business. Competition ?? for Valerie.

Jill may be working behind the scene and coming out with something in Fall & Winter. I've never been impressed with her decorating skills - but she was limited on what Q told her to sell.

I didn't follow her before she left and haven't followed her since. One does have to wonder what all the hoopla was about regarding her 'next' act if, indeed, there isn't going to be one... Maybe she changed her mind or maybe she realized it isn't as easy to create and maintain a 'following' as she might have thought it would be... I wish her well, why would I not... but I don't miss her...

@fthunt I sort of hoped she might do some home decor, but she made it clear a while back, in a reply to a FB question, that she would not be doing home decor. It has been a couple weeks or longer since I checked out her page, so someone correct me if that has changed.

I have about lost the small interest I had since reading that reply. I just don't get into watching people cook or demo makeup.
