For people like me who needed to look up the why of the comment ~

"Workers at a Chick-fil-A location in Orlando parted with tradition Sunday by preparing food for people waiting in line to donate blood in response to the weekend shooting..."

"A handful of workers passed out sandwiches and iced tea as thousands of donors answered the call to give blood in the wake of the shooting at Pulse..."

@RetRN First of all RN, I'd like to thank you on behalf of all of us who have had to rely on your kindness and care over the years.  I have 2 sisters and 2 nieces who are RN's and in recent years (due to budget cut backs) they've had to (at times) forgo their nursing duties and wipe up pee off of the floor and other things that take time away from caring for their patients

I admit I missed what these two companies do that you are applauding them for.

Please further post and tell us what they did that made you (I assume) happy so we can also acknowledge them......I'm too lazy to google it.

@SusieQ_2, thank you for posting, I hadn't heard about either company's activities. I just wish I lived in an area where I could support these two companies!

Also @RetRN thank you for bringing this to our attention.  I do watch some of the TV news and I haven't seen it there.

I cannot understand why we don't hear stories like this shouted from the roof top (so to speak) so that Americans know that there are many Americans who are good, kind and giving.

This makes my heart happy!

I wouldn't have known either if @RetRN hadn't posted to let us know so thanks to her. 

Now  I feel compelled to head over to Chick-fil-a and order a chicken sandwich. At least I can say I have a reason other than just how good they are (which is a pretty good reason anyway). I wish you had one near you. Maybe I should order two...one on your behalf, lol!

It's so heartwarming to know there are good businesses out there who care about people.  Many businesses anymore only seem to care about the bottom line but here are two companies who looked beyond that and showed that they really care!  God bless them!!
