Re: Jericho Abandons Cecil's cub, 1 dead

Question: if they can GPS the adults, why can't they GPS the cubs or at least do a microchip on them? Too dangerous??

Re: Jericho Abandons Cecil's cub, 1 dead

My first thought is that the cubs are growing and would have to have their collars re-fitted several times, which would very likely be disruptive and difficult for cubs, mom lions,  and trackers.  I don't know if a tracking collar could be made of elastic (like a lot of collars for domestic cats).

I'm sure someone has looked into this and will let us know.
