Good Bye Jenny Craig.....Shutting all the doors and laying everyone off...1000 employees.

Announced on Tuesday this week.....SHUT and Out of Biz TODAY.

So yes...it CAN go that fast.

(Could not secure financing to refinance debt...along with drugs like O O O Ozempic.)

CBS Evening News tonight reported that Jenny Craig was adversely affected by the weight loss injections, NBC News says the same thing. Also by online weight loss services.

"The company has faced increased competition recently after a handful of drugs that can help people lose weight, such as Wegovy, Rybelsus and Ozempic, hit the market promising to help consumers shed pounds. The core of Jenny Craig's client-facing operations happened mostly at its physical centers, according to employees, but consumers generally have been pivoting more toward online services in recent years."

I have nothing to base this on because her autospy report hasn't been released yet, but I have wondered if any of the weight lose injections had a role in Lisa Marie's death.

She was reported to have lost 50 pounds in just six weeks before the Golden Globes. I understand there were substance abuse problems as well, but just wonder if the sudden,drastic weight loss was more the problem for cardiac arrest.

That's very sad. I feel bad for all the employees. I don't know what the company has been like in recent years but when I went, I had nothing but positive experiences with it. My dear Mother also went there and she had very positive experiences as well.

I never tried Jenny Craig, but thought about it many times. I did go on Atkins, and other diets, slim fast etc. I have battled weight gain since my 30's. I went on WW in 2015 and lost 58 pounds, I really enjoyed the in-person meetings. Then my mother became really ill and I struggled to make the meetings, and to prep weekly food. My mom was in the hospital and skilled nursing facility and went to work, visited her, then home, often ate out. Consequently, I gained the weight back.

Mom died and Covid hit and there were no more meetings, I worked at home and it seemed that my health suffered even more. I had a new primary MD and she sent me to an Endocrinologist because I have Pituitary microadenomas. The Endocrinologist asked me how he could help me and I said "to lose weight."

I started on Mounjaro on September 1, 2022 and have lost 56 pounds since then. I have to say, I am also Diabetic so I qualify for the medication. The only side effect I have had is some nausea and gas. I take meds for those symptoms if they happen. Mounjaro changed my life.

My doctor treats my obesity as a disease, not one of willpower. I have done really well on the medication, my A1C is 5.3, which is an excellent rating. I think weight loss is going the way of medications. The medication cuts my appetite about in half. It also offers cardiovascular benefits. The more I learn about insulin resistance and Diabetes, the more I understand my weight loss struggle over the years.

I doubt that Lisa Marie died from the injections, she probably did not lose all of her weight from that. I lost 20 pounds in the first month, but then the weight loss slowed.

I know I have to stay on the medication for life, and plan to. 1 shot a week is easy for me to control my Diabetes.

There are more and more doctors who have metabolic practices because Obesity has finally been identified as the serious disease that it is. I was not obese until my 30's, and struggled so much with it. I am happy to under the care of a doctor who actually helps me, rather then telling me I need to lose weight.

I have noticed a couple of ladies on the view that seem to be loosing weight fast. Ana Navarro says she went to a fat farm (her words not mine) and cut down on her eating but everytime I see her she looks smaller, Sonny is loosing weight fast too, even Joy.
