BonneBelle, I don't know Joy's life history, but it's possible that she worked in Boston at one time. They're probably just here to film one scene, so who knows. I guess we'll all have to wait and see. ;-)

Wilmington, the town they are filming in, parts of it look a lot like the Long Island of 30-40 years ago. A lot of the houses look like they could be in Levittown in the 60s. JMO

of course it may be cheaper to film in MA than NY

The only way it would be cheaper to shoot in MA than NY is if MA offered more tax credits to the production of the film. A lot of LI is built up now and many Levitt homes have additions on them so they are unrecognizable in their original form.

Not sure why an A-Lister would do a movie about the hanger lady.. Didn't she also have some type of caboodle thingy on HSN for organizing makeup?

It's possible that she has a very interesting story in her personal life. Clearly there is more to it than just being the hanger lady or they would not be making a movie.

So it looks like they are filming at a 2-story frame house with a barn out back. maybe her LI home was similar when her kids were young.

From working in Wilmington for many years I know that MA neighborhood, there is a little development off of Federal built in the'40s with starter homes and the streets are named after presidents.
