[abbeythe 8th]

As a child my first cocker spaniel was named Abbey.  Each that followed were also Abbey plus an appropriate number.  My daughter and her family are now on Abbey the 12th.

Screen name AnikaBrodie is a combination of two dog's names.  Anika is a keeshond and Brodie was a cairn terrier (at the Rainbow Bridge).  We got another cairn last fall and named him Alfie; however, I decided to keep the same screen name in loving memory of our beloved Brodie.

Both Anika and Brodie were certified therapy dogs and Brodie had over 1,000 therapy visits to his credit at the time of his retirement.  He passed  in the spring of 2014.

Well, this was the only name (after trying 5 names) that wasn't already chosen......

I went to college and earned my bachelor's degree.

JUST FOR FUN.....WHAT DOES YOUR SCREEN NAME MEAN?

Borrowed the name from my wife's personalized license plate. What does it mean? Hockey Nut, as in ice hockey.

It is the name of my first cockatiel, also being a girl I was told I had lots of them.

Mine is one of my nicknames for my kitty. I usually tell her that, "She's the tops." So, "Toppers" became a variation of that. 

She's a senior now, but doesn't act like one. She has the heart of a kitten! She does some really cute things. She acts like a dog.

She'll pick up a toy and will "talk" to me with short, muffled meows while she runs with it in her mouth, bringing it over to me where I'm sitting in our recliner, where she'll drop it near me.

She'll then sit and wait for me to throw it, and then she'll go run after it and get it, and bring it back to me and drop it, and then the game starts all over again.

Sometimes she gets all excited, and will run back to me, and she'll forget to bring the toy back with her!!
