For us, Thanksgiving Dinner is always Pasties drenched in brown gravy. A Pastie is kind of like a pot pie without the pot. You fill a round pie crust circle with meat, potatoes and onions, fold in half, crimp the edges, bake and drench in brown gravy. If anyone here is from Butte Montana, you will know how much a part of the culture is centered around Pasites.😊😊

@kittykatkay The usual, roasted turkey with stuffing, gravy, garlic mashed potatoes, yams, Brussels sprouts, cranberries, just water and sugar, and this year, instead of pumpkin pie, will make a pumpkin pie mousse with struesel topping, and fresh whipped cream.
During the day, I nibble on giblets, the leftover stuffing that wouldn't fit in the turkey which I bake until nice and crusty, and the cranberries.

Deviled eggs
Rolls
Cinnamon apples
And little individual pies from Walmart so everyone can pick their flavor - pumpkin, apple, peach, cherry and pecan
What does everyone do to their green beans to make them taste less boring?
@hippiechick7897 I cook the beans, then put them in a frying pan with garlic, extra virgin olive oli, salt and pepper, and sautee for a few minutes on low.

We're having,
Roasted turkey
Fresh oysters sautéed in butter
Stuffing
Rice
Gravy
Fresh steamed carrots with butter
Fresh green beans
Yeast rolls
Pumpkin pie with homemade whipped cream.
The only reason I serve rice and stuffing is rice is a grain.
Normally I never serve more than one starch.

We just eat plain cherry fluff in dessert cups with a spoon, like pudding.
