I have thought about doing that for my grandchildren, what do you serve with it? I know they would just eat it with a spoon and be fine but is with nilla wafers or pound cake? It does sound good and I may try it at our Christmas feast since this one is all shopped for.

Menu, what's that? Plan on eating as usual, no different foods. Start day with Oatmeal/banana or 2/couple of clementines as a starter, with a mug of Joe.
Grab a dry cereal mix of whole grain cereals/big glass of milk, another banana. May throw in a tablespoon of fresh ground natural peanut butter. All of these are grab and eat, not all in 1 specific time period.
My biggest "meal(?)" will be 1/3 cup of unpopped corn. Pops a big bowl and done in microwave with no oil. A little butter spray so my powdered parmesan cheese sticks to it. Maybe add another mug of Joe.
My wife? Think she is going out to eat with her brother, gotta check to make sure.
About sums it up, but may eat less since the ice rink will be open Friday. Always like to skate with an empty stomach and colon, and lots of H2o.

@Mz iMac wrote:@haddon9 Except the exterior building, your brother would not recognize Resorts at all. It is no longer your Merv Griffin/Zsa Zsa Gabor casino. It's all changed & pretty much redesigned - rooms, casino, restaurants, etc. That being said, Resorts still caters mainly to "seniors."
@Mz iMac I'm sure it's been updated a lot! Yes I can remember when it was Merv Griffen's Resorts...I can also remember when it was the first & only casio on the boardwalk!
Have a great time!

I've been struggling so now that I promised him a scaled down dinner, I'm worried I won't be able to even do that. I better start feeling better by tomorrow because that's when I need to get started.
We just can't eat as much as many of y'all, so it's going to be turkey breast, mashers, gravy, a green bean dish I make (no on the ookie one with the cream of mushroom soup), and pumpkin pie.
Over the years what I did beyond this was to make a whole turkey and dressing (not stuffed - eww!), with the mashers, gravy, the green beans, and the pie. So the only thing I'm not doing is the whole turkey and the dressing this time.
Happy TG to all and I hope everybody stays safe.

Turkey
Dressing (1/2 with sausage, 1/2 with mushrooms)
Gravy
Green Bean Casserole (I use Golden Mushroom Soup instead of cream of mushroom...makes an enormous difference in flavor!)
Cranberries (Ocean Spray Whole Cranberry Sauce)
Apple & Pumpkin Pies (both by Mrs. Smith, and just delicious)
This is just for DH & me...but we will eat leftovers--which we think are the best part--all weekend.

It will just be two of us so the menu is extremely scaled down this year but consists of:
Turkey Breast
Baked Chicken
Mashed Potatoes
Noodles
Dressing
Green Beans
Cheesecake
