OMG @LindaSal I can't believe you said that about marrying him. When I met his sister, I told her we were supposed to be sisters in law. She laughed and said I have cousins I can introduce you too.
lol...laughed at both your posts....I always said in the Dictionary under "handsome" was his pic. He and Paul Newman...the definition of classically, HANDSOME.
Tragic. He was also charming, articulate, epitomized class, dignified, down-to-earth, good humored. Done too soon.

To us and many people the Kennedy's were an American dynasty, I can remember JFK's death. We made sure to visit his apt in Tribeaca we were on the way home from a NY Yankee game and left a memento there

Wow, where does the time go? Does anyone think he might have ran for the same office held by his father? I tend to think not because he wouldn't have wanted such close scrutiny - it was bad enough for him as private citizen.

When he was promoting his magazine "George", he had a meeting at the company I worked for. I recall just looking at him like he was the most beautiful specimen on earth. I was a measley college intern at the time, so wasn't in the meeting. But he spent the day at our office and he was the epitome of kindness and class.

Some people (not me) think he's still alive and fighting to free us from a space alien invasion. Not kidding.

I'm always so sad to think of him and the tragedy of his and Carolyn's and Lauren's death.

Seeing this topic makes me wonder if he would have wanted to be in politics. I’ve read that he possibly would have ran for NY Senator, but I think he really wanted some privacy. I can’t imagine being heckled by the press and photographers 24/7.
I also imagine how much Caroline misses all of them. I was not born when JFK was president, but I’ll always think of Jackie as the most beautiful First Lady. I don’t know how she did it! What a strong woman! ❤️

On 11-25-63, the day his father was buried, after receiving dignitaries and heads of state in the White House, Jackie arranged a small birthday party for him. He was just 3 years old. What a sad day for all of us who were alive then. I don't know how Jackie could held up that day let alone have a party for her son. She was an incredible mother.
I agree and to think she was only 33 years old herself. I remember her saying in an interview that if you bungle the job of raising your children, nothing else you do really matters. For all the appearances of upper class wealth, she had a lonely, dysfunctional upbringing herself with an alcoholic father who disappointed her over and over and showed up on her wedding day drunk and unable to escort her down the aisle. Money can’t buy everything.
I didn't know her Dad was an alcoholic!...(and he wasn't able to walk her down the isle!!!). Her stepfather walked her down the aisle!

He was the most gorgeous man. Rest in peace John, Carolyn, and Lauren.
