"Extra" is an expression that means "over the top".  I don't think she cares if anyone likes it, as she is dressing for her job and the event.  Her goal was to get noticed and get people talking, which she has done.  She knows exactly what she is doing.

I can't say I dislike it but the side view isn't flattering at all.  In fact for some reason it made me laugh.

I love her!! She has more energy than I had at 10. I marvel at how fit she is and how everything she wears looks good on her.

I have been watching her in interviews this week and she is always so cordial and warm towards anyone who interviews her. Like I said, I love her!

ITA ..... for some reason, people think if "people are talking", then it's automatically good.  How about doing something ADMIRABLE ... or wearing something actually flattering .....  if you want attention, go for the positive attention.

For crying out loud, we hear about people killing others so they'll be famous, and everyone will know their name.  That's also getting people talking, but hardly what anyone should aspire to.

I don't care how wealthy she is ....  if she is too desperate for attention, it never says anything good about her.
