I'm thinking of going into the store without the jacket and ask the Customer Service/Returns desk what to do.
Trying to phone a local store is futile. No one answers

As I mentioned in another post, I did try to call the store, and it is all automated. No option for a live person.
It's how some places operate now. Not my idea of good CS, but....

Good suggestion...however, after watching a couple of removals, I decided it was probably not a good idea for me.

I saw the videos involving the lighter.
It's not something I'm going to try for fear of damaging the garment.

You could put the item in the car,go to the store. If they say they can help then go get the item. Make sure you have receipts,etc.

@Witchy Woman - Sorry, I thought you meant (in a previous post) that you'd call something like their general 1-800 CS number. That's really poor that the local store has given you such a hard time.
But, if you're going to drive to the store, you might as well take the jacket with you. Any cashier should be able to remove the tag for you. After all, they have to for items purchased in the store. Good luck and I hope you still manage to enjoy your new blazer after all this.
