I love my local JCP and got some really great deals during their black friday and green monday sales. Mostly Liz Claiborne apparel for Christmas gifts. But due to fab sale prices on their Diamonart jewelry line I treated myself to a tennis bracelet and eternity band.

I am an avid JCP shopper. It's my go to store. I like their St. John's Bay active wear line and their t- shirts. $4.99 for long sleeve t-shirts during Black Friday sale. I always stock up. The Worthington line of dress pants are nice and reasonably priced on sale. They often have $10 off $25 coupons. Their shipping has been slow this year compared to last year's. More on- line shoppers I assume.

Three Memorial Day Sales back I went in there to buy Granddaughter a shirt for the holiday weekend.  The cashier asked if I had one of the $10.00 coupons on me which I knew nothing about.  She pulled one out applied it to my purchase and the shirt cost me $1.67.  My kind of sale.

@beckyb1012- Just shows you how things can differ from store to store.  I used to shop at JC Penney all the time, along with my sister-in-law.  The last time we went in there, I found two tops I liked in the sales.  Was standing in line (only two cashiers for the whole store) and realized I'd left my $10 off coupon somewhere.

No problem, I thought.  I saw the cashier ask the elderly woman ahead of me, if she had one.  The lady said no and the girl said she had one there and scanned it.  My turn?  I said I'd left my coupon and did she have one to use and she said "No.  We don't keep them here.  If you don't have it, I can't give you the discount."  (I did point out that she'd just used one for the woman ahead of me and got total silence.)

I told her I didn't need the things that much and left them on the counter, after waiting patiently in line for nearly 20 minutes.  Last time I shopped there.  I really loved their St. John's Bay brand.

I got 7 of the St John's Bay turtlenecks, 5 of the St John Bay cardigans and also a very nice St John's Bay peacoat.  I could not get over the great prices as I recall last year they did not have the great savings on ladies' apparel like they did this year.  I have never saw wit reduced that much in a very long time.

JCP has many things like window sheers and other linens that are considered “old school” and can be hard to find. I just ordered more Carters kimono shirts for my newest grandbaby... can’t find them anywhere else. They have a great selection of most anything for the home online. The sales make it hard to resist...got 3 outfits for baby, 6 or pants for toddler along with three tops...and a denim jacket for the 8 yr old....for $50 after the sales and discounts.

My mother was in JCP management for forty years and retired from there. I have her 14k gold ruler pen with the diamond that she was given at her retirement party. Mr Penney believed in the golden rule...

Their curtains and drapes are THE BEST!!!!  Woman Very Happy

I also love their handbags, and pajamas/night gowns....and I do find some cute tops too......

But sadly the store at the huge shopping center is a shadow of its former self....they really reduced their inventory especially the kitchen/home section--(except for curtains/drapes) .......Woman Sad

I used them, too, for clothes for work this past summer.  I'm sure the stores are a mess, but online was a snap.  Everything came in a few days.  I got great prices, too.
