If you are being sarcastic, well, i cant say much about it because i love having the chance to get items on sale, plan ahead, see whats on trend and time to receive it. Im not going to buy gifts and decor in December and hope I get it on time.  It also cooresponds to when i get an extra paycheck in the month. Woot woot.

Like you I plan ahead - well in advance of the seasonal items I'm looking for.  Gardening items in winter, Christmas in July.  Works.  I always start monitoring QVC website in June for Christmas items that may have sold out last year and often find it on closeout in June.  I missd the Bethlehem Lights Micro LED tree w/storage bag last year.  I wanted the flocked 7ft.  The TSV price was $599 on 5 EZ pay.  I found one on QVC $450 5 EZ pay "As Is" item.  There were no returns sold on QVC in Feb and none on ebay or Amazon.  So I'm thinking the "As Is" is likely quantities BL dug up, displays either for BL clients or QVC sets.  There's a 30 day return if there's issues with the tree, so I figure the savings was worth the gamble. I saw similar trees last year at retail priced $650-800 for a 7ft and none were near the BL quality.  This is also the best time to buy ornaments, etc on Amazon...right before Prime Day.  I was able to pick up "Like New" set of 2 pine garlands 5ft each - one set of 2 for $8.62 and 2 more sets $10 each.  New price is $59.  for a total of $28.62 free ship I scored on 3 sets - 6 5ft garlands for my front porch railings.  I'm also finding lots of ornaments in sizes/colors I'm looking for but have them tracked just in care the prices drop for Prime Day.  Thinking and planning ahead is the best way to really spread thoe $.

All I can say is your loss.  I like to order all the QVC advance shipment food gifts for family members.  They do sell out, as I have learned, so I am happy to make my orders ASAP.  I find those Lindt chocolates an extreme bargain, although I personaly do not really eat them.

I, too, am well underway with Christmas shopping.

I cannot imagine overspending my budget on beauty items.  Yes, fashion, because one dress can cost hundreds, but the only beauty items I spend hundreds on are perfumes, and I try to limit those purchases, because we certainly never receive any bargains or sales from those manufacturers!

It is sad for me and I won't be watching.  My mother died right before Christmas and I saw her the last time on  her December birthday.  My son who loved Christmas so much went into a coma two days before and died soon thereafter. So, no, I won't be watching for reasons other than the fact that most (including myself) are sizing down on Christmas decor for more reasons than one.  So, I have more decor than I want and have asked a friend who sells antiques and vintage to help me unload Christmas decor and some of my vintage and antique clocks.  It's that time of my life.

Aw, I am so sorry. My mom died Christmas morning, 2000. However, I think the holidays are tough no matter when the loss. They remind us of happy memories of family and the void that is left in their absence. Your pain is magnified by the loss of a child as well. Take care.

@RainCityWoman

It seems it is a sad season for those reasons and especially poignant for those of us who lost a loved one during so wonderful time of year, which hsa put a damper on many people's holidays.  I know we were not the first and won't be the last. Yet, it does not take the pain away.  Thank you and bless you as well.

Re: It's that time again that I dread

I guess they have changed it to Christmas in June. Costco is already advertising Halloween decorations so I guess Hobby Lobby will have their fall/ Thanksgiving stuff out next to the fourth of July decor, that is on its way out now. It was put out with the Easter stuff. It's hard to keep up! It's 95 degrees now and 9:50 pm....the last thing I am thinking about now is Christmas.
