...to be alive!

Beyond the anxiety pushing at us,

behind the variety of feelings--

every one of us and

every kind of feeling,

besides the things we do

to cheer and lift each other up,

when I let go of all that,

this a great time to notice

how alive we are, and rejoice

in the creativity and caring

going on all over the world.

Just saying.

I love that you often make time to share your poetry and positivity, @KaySD.   The bright light of a grateful, hopeful spirit can be contagious and so very welcome.  Thank you!❤️

@KaySD

I not only agree with you, I echo it every time it fits into one of my posts. Every day is "great" for me, irrespective of what happens for me, or to me.

For me there is no "yesterday" or " tomorrow", I know only that there is the "present". And those that haven't yet realized this?  Someday they just might.

Thanks for your thread/post.

Thanks, @hckynut. I "know" there is only the present, but unlike you, I often stray into past and future territory. Like "ten thousand" times a day, give or take a few. I love it when I can stay awake for a while, and when we keep each other awake! Or, as the poet says:

Present, Elusive

I dreamt of seashells last night,

Or was it during the day, in

An unguarded moment? My mind

Patrols the boundaries of my hours

And minutes, lest too much of

The present seep in and abruptly

Clear the muddy swirl, like seawater

Riled with sun sand and foam is

Interrupted by a peaceful moon.
