After waiting all this winter and last, it started snowing about 8am and we now have a couple of inches plus it's coming down hard.  It's so nice that it's happening during daylight hours so we can see it.  We need the moisture so badly as we're in "severe drought".

That is good news especially since your state is having a drought.  Enjoy the weather and have fun, I hope the drought ends soon.

@Kachina624  Yippee...a friend of ours who we stay with when we come down, texted a pic of her yard down there this morning with snow...she was happy too...we got a dusting over night...we still have plenty of snow on the ground.  It will be good for the fruit trees and berry bushes..DW

East side of town got nailed.  Had to scrape snow off my car before I could drive home from work this morning.

Have the blinds open and I'm watching it come down in Paradise Hills.

It's coming down here, too. Started this morning with about 3 inches so far. But the main event doesn't happen until later tonight...could be an additional 4 to 6 they're saying.

Need my chocolate now. Getting ready to shovel.

@Bookplate I'm in CT, and just saw on my weather app we could get up to 7.5" of snow on Tuesday. We'll see....

I'm along the shoreline so, often we get less, and sometimes just rain.

That said...and I'm usually an anti-winter, summer all the way, gal...but this year...I have actually missed having at least one, pretty snow day.

So much so, I've had YouTube snow scenes with crackling fires (and I have a real fireplace) on in the background many days this winter! 😄

@amyb Well, heck you are right about the precip;  just saw the forecast.  However, we have a predicted high of 38 in which case it is rain, ugh.

You're right with "ugh" about rain...man I'm sick of being the new Portland, OR...since last summer, rain, rain and more rain. Sorry to anyone having a drought but wish we could send you some rain!!
