Re: It's November? You would have fooled me.

@PA Mom-mom   You want snow?   I love it but our weather in the Chicago area has changed so much.  Last year it was really mild.  Growing up it would be cold all winter long and snow.  I really miss the snow.

@Katcat1  Darn right I want snow. I want snow from November through February. Otherwise, what's the point of cold weather? Snow makes everything better. Neighbors help each other and have fun building snowmen with the neighborhood kids, and then they have coffee with... something stronger!!

@ECBG  Completely agree, nothing worse than a warm and/or muggy Christmas or Thanksgiving... Unfortunately, it seems it happens far too often... I've given up on any notion of ever seeing a white Christmas, while at home anyway...

Love a white Christmas 🎄 as long as I can get our son, daughter in love and the two grandsons here.

The streets here are called "the roller coaster".   A challenge to say the least.  We all drive 4WD.

Last week I saw snow. Today, I had to turn the ac on.

I agree @PA Mom-mom @Katcat1 , the beauty of the snow makes winter so much better.  Remind me I said this when I'm wearing 5 layers of clothes, constantly wiping up slush off the floor and complaining that everyone forgets how to drive in the snow!

@ECBG, your Christmas book sounds really wonderful!

It was 70 in Northern MI today, yes it's been this warm on Thanksgiving so not so crazy.

Vacationed last weekend in the UP on the shores of Lake Superior. Gale force winds and 2" of snow.

I'll happily take 70 degrees!

You never know!  Although it rarely snows in New Orleans (like maybe every 15 years or so), we had a white Christmas a few years back. It was my mom's last Christmas so that would have been December 2004 I believe. It started snowing midday on Christmas Day and turned everything picture postcard white. We all felt that it was a special gift for mom, who was battling cancer and passed away in February.

50s this weekend. A little rain and a lot of wind today. I love the cooler temps. Our summer was awful. Maybe it’s finally gone. I live in Southern California.

It was 75 in NYC yesterday.  I prefer the cooler temps and like others don't want warm weather on the holidays.   As a child we had a lot of snow in NY with schools being closed and remember many a white Christmas.

I was in Northern MI last week when I saw snow; and today am wearing shorts. The UP is magnificent, hope you had a beautiful time!

@shoesnbags , that sounds like a bittersweet, yet magical, Christmas/snow memory.

Low 80's, humid and raining with gusty winds from the very outer bands of Eta. Hoping that when it heads out into the Gulf of Mexico, it goes way out so that we avoid a direct hit as it makes its way north. I'm on the beach on an island just north of Sarasota and it could get messy.
