It's Interesting How the Brain Can Trick Itself

Last night I had a dream where I was outside someplace, and there was a roller coaster park next door.

I was outside of the park, and looked over at the coasters, when I saw the car of one ride go flying off of the tracks, and plunge to the ground.

I gasp in horror at what I had just witnessed, and I slapped myself in the face several times, while yelling "Wake up! Wake up! Wake up!", because I wanted to make sure that what I had just seen was real, and that I wasn't dreaming.

As I ran towards the scene of the accident, I saw a car of another roller coaster dangling from the tracks.

And then that's when I woke up.

It's just weird how the brain can create fiction and believe that it's real.

Just an observation.

When I see some of those high roller coasters my stomach flip-flops.  Could cause nightmares.

I take dreams like that as a form of precognition; a warning that I need to be extra aware, extra alert, extra careful.

Well, also dreams feature symbolic language, disguised as something.

A roller coaster of emotion might appear in a dream as an actual roller coaster.

I have noticed in the last few years that whenever I wake up from a disturbing dream, I am too hot.  Too many blankets!

I dream  nightmares about tornados especially after seeing them on the news.....they frighten me so. I am on the West coast so not any tornadoes to speak of....but they still freak  me out.
