It's Been A Loooooooong Winter

Yup, it's still raining in my neck of the woods in California, and we desperatly needed the rain this season, but this season has just seemed so much longer than other winters.

Spring is just two weeks away, the 21st, I believe.

I am going to love the warmer days.

Has this winter seemed long to you?

No, I'm in Arizona and even though it's been wet I've enjoyed it. Probably because once winter is over it's hot, hot, hot until October.

Right now, I miss the (dry) heat of summertime.

Here in NY. It has been a pretty mild winter, however today it is single digits, so winter is still with us.

Its been unseasonable warm where I live. The good thing about that, is I haven't had to worry about my grown children who drive interstates to get to work havng to drive on snow and ice. The bad thing, is we already have ticks and my friend has seen 2 snakes in her yard. Yikes.

No, unfortunately. Winter is my 2nd favorite season and here in the Finger Lakes of NY, it's been a non event, imho. We have skiers in this house and the season has been struggling.

Now if you go a little further North in NY, I'm sure they would say "enough already"! There the snow is measured in feet and they were slammed this year...some have all the luck...*sigh*

Winter here in Indiana has been very warm - December was cold, but January and Feb were mild - even 60's and 70's in Feb! I'm loving it - glad we have continued to get rain and am hoping we don't have a dry summer because of the lack of snow. I lived in So. Cal. for 37 years and only remember a few times when it rained a lot. You need it though.

Nope. Winter is never long enough for me. I'm still waiting for a decent snowfall which, at this point, probably won't happen. We just got past several days in the 70's -- crazy for this time of year in Philly.
