@SharkE  We get those calls too, though not as many since we got rid of our landline. I don't pick up ANY call that I don't recognize the number, unless I'm expecting an important call, and not sure of the number they will be calling from, like deliveries. The ones I don't answer? If they don't leave a message, that's on them!

@SharkE    Hmmmm, you must be on somebody's list because I've never gotten a single call about anything to do with Medicare.

@Kachina624  Either you're very lucky, or you have an excellent call blocker. Right now I'm getting 2-3 of those calls most days. We got sometimes 8-10 a day when we had a landline. These are not calls about "Medicare", but about the supplements since it will be open enrollment soon, if it's not already. I'm satisfied with my current plan, so I haven't paid attention to the date it starts.

@vermint    All of the above.  I do have a good call blocker.  I've been on Medicare longer than most of you, before they started call lists and hard sell advertising.  I never shopped for a supplement, since mine is with the group from which I retired, so I never gave my name or number to anyone.  I'd never change my supplement since its free with no copay, deductible or any payment to anyone.

My phone is strictly for MY convenience, not theirs. Don't answer.

I'm getting those calls and 3 years away from being eligible for Medicare.  I assume it's because I retired a few months but I didn't take my SSA benefit.  I'm waiting for my full retirement age.  I get 3 or 4 calls a day but I just hang up when they go into their spiel.

yeah, whenever anybody starts off with "How's your day"?   I know it's somebody trying to hawk something. LOL    I'd love to say not to **** good, my internet is down, My cable and Tivo isn't working. I had to get up early to wait on ISP if you don't answer the door in under 5 seconds they drive off.   don't call U when they're on way out either.

you can't just walk into a Great Clips any more you have to book online

if you don't when you get there your told "will be 25-30 min wait" so , you move on to the next one, get the same talk. Finally , you just go to Walmart

Everybody is so stressed and exhausted no wonder the world is going to

I am not sure if some of the calls are regarding Medicare or solicitation for campaign donations.  No landline-just cell phones.

If we are at our phones and we do not recognize the #, we just decline and later block the number.   So far, so good.

I did receive a text for a political candidate-addressed to me as "Huy Thong"  lol.  I blocked it as spam.

I have seen Joe Namath on TV again and one with JJ Walker but the commercials do not seem to be flooding as they were in the past.

Don't worry. If all goes according to plan, pretty soon you won't hear about Medicare at all anymore.

I'm sure everyone will enjoy not having all this red tape to complain about anymore.

Exactly, and we won't have to worry about SS raises either because it's all going to go away into the sunset.
