Hopefully the furnace can be repaired, otherwise, it will stink even more having to replace it.

Oh no! I hope you are able to get some emergency services. I have been using Angie's list recently for some emergencies and they are really wonderful in getting someone to you pronto.

just getting a repairman to come out and look,at will probably be a chore because they are all so busy. Hope you get someone soon and it doesn't cost too much.
