It takes so little to make us happy here in NM. We're right in the middle of a torrential downpour complete with pea-size hail, thunder and lightening. I can't even remember the last thunderstorm we had...several years ago. Thank God!

Kachina~ Yay it rained! I hope no flash floods.....that's the only bad thing about drought areas....

Congratulations Kachina I wish it would rain in AZ and CA.

I keep telling people that a real monsoon season is expected and they just look at me like I'm speaking Yupik. Today felt like there may be some truth to this. Did you catch that thunder?

And you can thank me because I washed my car this week.

And I thought it was because I deep soaked my young tree all night. It's been so long that my dogs barked at the thunder. They say an El Niño is forming and we ought to have a good monsoon, as well as a wetter winter. We'll see.

{#emotions_dlg.thumbup} I'm thrilled you guys got some rain! We could go another few weeks without it and we'd still be okay - had enough rain + 70" of snow in the last 6 months, the water table is too high.
