All season long the members bring whatever extra garden produce they have and just put it there in baskets. People are to take what they can use or can give to others who might need it. We get all of our tomatoes, cucumbers, peppers, etc. that way. I quit growing vegetables when I realized they really were trying to give their extras away. One plants 75 tomato plants every year just because he enjoys doing it! We also are blessed to have several farmer's markets near us.
To reciprocate, those of us who don't have extra produce to share take baked goods like banana bread or muffins to share. Works out wonderfully for all.
That is quite lovely....

That's what I do, Marian. I buy as many thin skinned fruits/veggies as I can in organic form. Anything that has a thick skin or rind I'd be removing anyways I don't bother buying organic but I do wash it well before I peel it.
