Re: Is your Christmas Tree lit?

I got a new prelit 6' tree this year and I am really enjoying having it lit all day!

It is covered, yes covered, with Burgundy, gold and light burgandy balls, some decorated some plain, some matte, some shiny.  I just love it!

Re: Is your Christmas Tree lit?

Mine is on a timer, set for 4:30-11:30 PM.

It's raining today, so I will light it when I get home this afternoon- around 3:00.

Unless we have company I don't turn it on until dusk.

Re: Is your Christmas Tree lit?

Right now mine is lit when I get home from work, and turned off when I go to bed, on weekends if it is dreary and I am home all day, I will turn it on, the week of Christmas I turn it on from morning until night because I love being home and wrapping and looking at it!!!!!!!

Re: Is your Christmas Tree lit?

On weekdays when I'm working, I turn it on when I get home which is about 5:15.  On weekends, I generally have it lit all day when I'm home.

We do the same thing.

Re: Is your Christmas Tree lit?

My tree is in front of a window where I usually have a floor lamp.  I turn it on anytime I would usually turn on the lamp, on dreary days or when it's almost dark.  Sometimes I turn it on when it's sunny but not as often.

Re: Is your Christmas Tree lit?

I'm working from home today, so my Christmas tree is all lit up.  Normally, when no one is home, we don't light the tree until we get home in the evening.  Ditto for the flameless candles in my windows and throughout the house.  They are on timers and they light at 5pm.  I wouldn't ever, not in a million years, leave the tree lit when we go to bed.  Although, I have noticed that many people do that now.

Re: Is your Christmas Tree lit?

It's drizzly and dreary here today so I turned mine on when I got up this morning.  If it's sunny I don't turn it on until it gets dark.
