I enjoy giving flowers to people I care about while they are alive to enjoy them. Flowers make people happy and I enjoy gifting that happiness.

My grandmother enjoyed several vases and bouquets until she passed 20 years ago; I took flowers to my dad several years before he passed, and take flowers to my mother every few months.

I had so much in common with the mother of one of my close friends from work, who wanted her flowers while she was alive to enjoy them. I sent flowers to her twice a year until she died, and had a bouquet of pink roses placed in her casket.

I only have one older friend left, and even with the increased floral and delivery prices, she will continue to receive a vase of cut flowers on her birthday, until she's gone.

I find other things to do for funerals for family and friends.
