Asking for advice on what type of bird this may be?
Sometimes jewelry pieces are a fantasy whimsical design and not an actual bird, animal etc. Wondering if there's a bird with a blue belly and that beak.
Google lens didn't help.
TIA

Stylized kookaburra??
With birds and animals there's often a lot of artistic license. In other words, anything goes.
The real thing

Kookaburra is a good one! I just looked them up and they are part of the Kingfisher family that have funny hair like the pin has.

I'm also thinking Kookaburra. It's unusual and I really like it! Lately I'm gathering brooches and have random pieces of several generations I'm going to shadow box for presentation/display at an upcoming family reunion next year.

That sounds absolutely wonderful! They're little pieces of art work and capture a place in time, your family will love it.
So nice to see value placed on vintage pieces.
