Is this Silly?

Okay, My neighbor has a cow. I see him on and off and I love hearing him moo throughout the day. One day the cow got loose and came to my house. I was feeding him carrots and apples as I awaited for my neighbor to come get him. Once my neighbor arrived, he said, thanks for fattening him up..I was confused, then he said, we are raising him to EAT him!{#emotions_dlg.scared} I was horrified and saddened. Now , every time I hear him mooing, I feel sad and want to go rescue him. I offered to buy the cow, I want him for a pet, The answer was NO~~ Is it silly to feel SO sad over this??
