That sounds like so much fun! I'd love to learn to crochet but the RA in my hands won't allow me to do intricate things anymore 😞 I wish I wouldn't have waited so long. Our local University has a cooperative extension office that has various activities every week community members can sign up to do. The last intricate thing I did was making a large magazine basket...it nearly killed me lol. Thankfully, the lady teaching the class helped me to finish up. Fortunately though, they do offer other things I am able to do. I'm definitely gonna sign up for some of these. It's nice getting out, meeting new people and having a finished product you've actually made yourself.

I don't do New Year resolutions.

Yes, I'm starting a new journal; I got a new Happy Planner and some new gel pens, as well as some new stickers.

It sounds like you want to drop a few pounds or eat healthier. There is no time like the present.
Good luck with your plan!
Well maybe. But why start when there are tasty treats everywhere you look? That is more likely to result in failure. I think it is easier to start a new plan in the new year, a new beginning. My DH and I ease up on our diets during this time of year so we can enjoy the holidays a bit more, without stressing about it. Then we revert back to our usual eating on January 2.

I have purchased 3 sets of the Pereia boxes to try and get a spare bedroom, which I'm using as an extended closet organized. So I guess that's my New Year's resolution. I sure hope these boxes work. I haven't even taken them out of their packaging yet lol.

Nope. Planning for January 1 is essentially giving oneself permission to indulge, overindulge, and not be accountable today. There's no time like the present to get back on track with anything we've let slide.

You may have not understood, maybe I wasn't clear. I have a new book to begin to write in Jan 1, to continue what I'm doing now. It's not an excuse for failure.

Again, see the note I left above. I'm holding onto a new journal (to continue) what I'm doing now. I'm just not using the new book before then, since there's 60 pages, to cover 2 mos. time. Whew!!!

How about you? Is Jan 1 a new start off on something you are looking forward to do? There are only a few days to go, if you think you might want to start a new habit.....or get back to something you've wanted to do.
@qualitygal No. If anything, I avoid the whole January 1st hoopla and have for as long as I can remember.
For anyone interested in successfully forming new habits, I highly recommend the book Atomic Habits by James Clear.
