I bought plain Green yogurt for some "doggy ice cream" treats for my sister-in-laws pup.

I noted 6 grams of sugar in 3/4 cup, which seemed high to me.

Checked a few other brands and it was about the same.

Has anyone found yogurt without ANY sugar, or does it naturally have it?

It's made from milk, and milk has sugar in it naturally.

If there is ADDED sugar, you can tell on the label.  Or check the ingredients.

Yes, that is what I concluded after checking several brands in the case.

That is one reason I gave it up long ago.

Even without "added" sugar, there will be naturally occuring sugar.

@Witchy Woman   The lowest sugar content I gave found in Greek yogurt  is a about  4 grams.  That is low for naturally occurring milk sugar.  I doubt you will find any with no sugar as milk just has some natural milk sugars.

Chobani plain has 0 added sugar and 4 grams of naturally occuring sugar. That's the lowest I saw.

Thanks for checking...While I don't think the doggie minds, I think I'll just continue to skip it.

The doggie ice cream was pretty tasty, however.

Greek yogurt, bananas and pumpkin or peanut butter.  I tasted it before freezing in small cups, and it wasn't bad!

When you find one let me know..I look at the labels and they all have a LOT of sugar.

Somebody from a different forum told me about 2 Good Yogurt.  It's got 2 grams of sugar & 0 grams added sugar.  My DH found it at Wal-Mart and it came in vanilla, blueberry, mixed berry and peach.  I have had all of them except the vanilla one.  After having a few extractions & on a soft foods diet they were much better than applesauce and jello.

Yes, it's crazy how much sugar is in everything!

I try to really limit my intake, and, by the time you add everything up, it's so frustrating!
