@Catlady Nicole I like the Shark Rocket with Duoclean stick vac.  Light and does a good job.  I think I paid around $200.

I hate to dust cause it just keeps coming back.  I've always wished someone would invent something where you could press a button and the dust would be sucked out of and off every surface in the house.

@Allegheny

This made me chuckle out loud. Thx!

@LoveMyBaby@Allegheny  Yes, please.......and maybe also to suck out the cat hair at the same time!

For me - grocery shopping.  I don't mind housework (including scrubbing toilets), laundry, yard work or gardening.  Grocery shopping is a necessary evil for me.  I am the worst shopper in the world when my mitts are firmly wrapped around a grocery cart handle.  I have my list, I know what's on sale, I put a line through what I've picked up and know what I still need.  Somehow I manage to be in the last aisle and still have 22 things on my list.  So backtrack I go!  Sadly, more than once.

Many years ago my husband, knowing how much I hated this simple task, volunteered to take over the much dreaded groceries.  I was overjoyed, handed him the list and sent him on his way.  He came home, pleased as punch, and had everything but what I asked for.  He brought home stew beef (the only meat he managed to put in the cart and not something I requested), and not a potato, a carrot or and onion to go with it!  We did however have an abundance of ice cream, cherry pies, Ring Dings, peanuts and other assorted snacks.  He exclaimed that he couldn't imagine why I hated grocery stores when there was so much "good stuff" there to be had!  I couldn't even get upset with him as I'm an old magpie and if you put something bright and shiny in my face I lose all comprehension of anything else.  I knew better than to let him do groceries, so it's back on me!

What's that one thing that makes you cringe just thinking about having to do?

Ms. LuLuBelle2

YOU JUST MADE MY DAY.

Your husband is a JOY, I can just see imagine a man's face saying....there is so much GOOD STUFF...which is really...all the GOODIES....we all love to eat.

@Its Me LuLuBelle2  And all this time I thought it was hardware stores that got men psyched!

My husband loves to grocery shop too!

I keep a running list of what's about to run out and if he is going out he will sneak a peek at the list and pick and choose what he thinks is good stuff on the list.

Folding a fitted sheet.

i just did that a couple days ago, with my thumb in a splint and my hand bandaged.  It took a few days to work up the courage to attack it, and I felt so accomplished when it was done!  Usually, I just take the sheets out of the dryer and put them back on the bed!

My least favorite chores.... washing toilets and washing floors.  I don't mind vacuuming.  But I hate washing them.  Oh, and yard work.  Hate that!

Funny story about your husband grocery shopping. He did it several times for me when I was sick for about 3 months. He loved doing it but came home with nothing to make a complete dinner with. I ended up using Peapod, send them your order and they deliver right to your door. Worked out great.  I loathe cleaning the tub/shower area. I have a bad back and it causes me so much pain but a necessary chore. Ugh.

Ironing and tub cleaning don't thrill me - probably because I'm bad at them and the results look horrible. My mirrors and windows have streaks too, but I try.

Re: Is there a chore you LOATHE doing?

Every single ONE of them .........housework, yard work, any kind of shopping.

So my solution is to hire people who don't hate it and I do nothing except write checks....
