Re: Is there a case or event in history...

I'm a big history nut. Mostly about the Royals. I guess my answer would be the French Revolution and killing of the Romanovs being herded down in the basement and all shot. Somebody else mentioned the abdication of the King to marry Wallis Simpson, too.

My theme seems to be (in addition to true crime)- un(re)solved mysteries:

D.B. Cooper

Amelia Earhart

JonBenet Ramsey

Sabrina Aisenberg

Darlie Routier

Re: Is there a case or event in history...

@Pqfan   i don't know... it is just one of those things i keep asking why why why . there was a show on when i was about 12 or 13, it was about Hiroshima, in black&white so of course the images are more gruesome. i think we got a public TV channel 13 then?  it was new. anyway,   i feel i like i stopped being a child that day. i remember the civil defense drills in my school when i was in grade school. i didnt know what they really were intended for until i saw that program.

last year there was a program on about the US Army Air Corp and Japan and the Bomb and the guys who flew the mission. some were still alive. most of them continued to feel justified in what they did.

this topic made me think of princess diana the night she died and they kept saying she's alive and then when you look back on it you know she wasn't whenever they were saying that
