People I know go every year to ring in the NY and they book a year in advance for a place near Times Square.

I can't think of any place I would NOT want to be more then NYC on N.Y.Eve....only way I would go is if I had a hotel right in the heart of Times Square where I could watch from my window...lol...

I hate crowds...I will be watching from home...safe and sound......

I would be concerned if the protestors clashed with the N.Y Eve crowd...that could be less then adventurous .....and more dangerous....

I just pulled up on hotel.com a bunch of Times Square hotels available in the $250-$400. That's a great price any time of year for that location.

If you are in a Times Square Hotel, you are either shut in or out from maybe 9 pm until 1 am more or less
