It's definitely like The Titanic now.

Some abandoned ship, safely off on lifeboats, others clinging on till the bitter end.

@Johnnyeager   I don't know about you but I am on a  life boat to the other forum!!   LOL

I have left and have already started a new Book Thread on the new site. The only reason why I am hanging around is out of loyalty to the Readers in Book Club, I want to make sure that everyone knows that we have moved and not have any problems getting on over there.

@icezeus   I will hang for a few days out of being nosey but I am really upset that they would banning people.  This is why their boards tanked in the first place.

Yes.  Many are already posting at the new place(s) and indicate that they have no interest in returning here.

Several have also been banned in the past few days which also annoyed others.

Wow...banned? Whatever for?? Not being nosey just wondering if talking about where to go next gets one banned.

yeesh.

@BalletBabe  Yes. I checked out the Proboards, and there are lots of familiar nicknames. I will probably stay here for a while and see what happens as the month goes on.

@PA Mom-mom   My guess each day there will be less and less.  To have this many gone in just one day is amazing!   I think the ones that got banned is disgraceful.   I have lost respect for QVC>

@fthunt  When you register on Proboards, they ask you for your birth date and for your name. Are those available to the public?

I will post here until the boards close, but yes, it appears that some old timers have been banned.  And others are just migrating elsewhere.

Wow, that's really a nasty thing to do by a retailer who wants to retain customer loyalty. I don't care what the reason, unless it was illegal or profane, I can't imagine why ban customers!! So what they want you to go to FB and not another site...still. Consumers have choices...they're going to make those choices, you can't coerce them into staying loyal. How about you give them good reason to retain loyalty.

I'm on FB and use it very selectively and rarely. QVC public forums will not be one of the ways I use FB. I occasionally have commented on other public FB pages, but I don't like that my friends can see where I post...my personal interests and such. And more and more FB is not a user friendly place anyway.

Totally. I said today my buying habits wouldn't change thus far with QVC. But the more I learn about any business tactics I don't agree with...that DOES effect my shopping at a place.

No no one can see them and I personally registered my name BalletBabe as my first name as well.  I made up a Birth Date.  I do that on all forums.

Posters were banned for posting the link to the new board at Proboards and also for posting the email address of the CEO,

Ridiculous.

The CEO email address is widely available.   The SEC has it.

It's not proprietary,  top secret information.
