Is it just me, or was the opening ceremonies for the Olympics below expectations!

I know everyone has different opinions but I was expecting so much more and when Matt Lawer (sp) said, with the Mary Poppins sequence, that baby is downright creepy!

I get the Industrial Revolution etc and how things emerged but even the choroeography to me was out of place for what they were trying to do and maybe it was ok with the Queen to have the dummy in her likeness come out of the helicopter, but I thought that was beyond cheesy and downright stupid.

I watched most and wasn't the least bit impressed compared to some absolutely magnificent shows in the past. So, is it me or what did you HONESTLY think (not counting the parade).
