Re: Is it a ""boyfriend"" in your 60s?

If you are not engaged properly to be married, or are not married, actually anything else is properly called a "boyfriend" regardless of age.

You can be clever and say partner, other half, better half, room mate, mate, significant other, etc., but everyone knows that's just a synonym for "boyfriend" anyway.

Sorry, not much of a way around it. It is what it is !

Re: Is it a ""boyfriend"" in your 60s?

I'd just introduce him as ""friend."" If they don't live together I would assume they haven't reached ""partner"" stage yet. I guess what's hers is hers and what's his is his.

I don't understand why you have to give him a title at all. I don't usually do that when introducing people.

I use their name alone.

I would just say his name or my friend so and so. Boyfriend just sounds silly to me.

I don't see anything wrong with calling him her boyfriend. As long as he doesn't mind, why should anyone else?

It is what it is.

As long as you don't say, say hello to my little friend.{#emotions_dlg.laugh}

Do people really introduce their boyfriend/girlfriend as Significant Other?

I just couldn't say that with a straight face.
