R&R, you should not take ANY supplements from a health store without first consulting your doctor. There are many supplements that people had DIED from taking, you realize that don't you?

Please stop trying all kinds of medicines you know nothing about. You realize that the lady at the health food store has a vested interest in you buying supplements from her and will say anything to get that sale don't you.

Don't you think your own doctor(s) would have told you if they thought you should get some type of supplement?

The supplements sold in these places are not monitored by the FDA and besides vitamins, I would not take anything from there unless your doctor told you to.

Stop adding in all these supplements and take what your doctor gives to you and the amounts he tells you to take. You keep changing, talking half or taking more of what you are told and then ask strangers online for medical advice. That is so dangerous. Your doctor knows YOU and knows your personal medical history and he is the ONLY one you should be listening to. Not a lady who is trying to sell you stuff who has no clue about your medical history. I don't care if she goes to church with you or not. you cannot trust her to be truthful with you about something as serious as your health!!

Hi Voyager I've read many times in different forums here that the poster Gazelle here used to be the nic Newport - and Newport worked for like 20 years at a health food store.

R&R is well known for her need for new drugs and "stuff" to cure whatever it is she has (thinks she has(. She won't take advice, and a sales person in a store is there to SELL stuff, not to be your friend.

Don't waste your time giving her advice, she'd rather look around for some cure-all that isn't given by a doctor NOR approved by the FDA.

I will read all the posts about this thread tonight........I called the doctors office since I have unlimited calling and I forgot what hennypenny said.......I talked to a nice lady and she had not heard of this disease so I told her about the health food store and that this doctor goes to the church I used to go to and that he was sending people to this lady's health food store to pick up this Sov. Silver.......so she said to call back and she would ask around.......well hours later I called back and she said the doctor wanted to see me......I told her I lived out of town and had a dentist and I don't have dental insurance and that another doctor was helping me.........and she said she could not comment because he told her for me to come in and I said well, then the health food store should not bring up the doctors name and surely she could understand me just wanting to know if he recommended this stuff........she said she would see if she could get more out of the doctor and call me back.......who knows if they will call me back but I am not using it any longer and I feel like calling the health food store but it was only $12.95....still though I could have had dinner for that. No more health food stores but one of my doctors said to take Alpha Lipoic Acid and I am doing what he said. I am taking Alpha Lopic Acid.

Good for you, R&R! It sounds like you checked things out and came to a reasonable conclusion.

R and R - I think this may be what happened to you- you got a snake oil salesman wrapped in sheeps clothing under the guise of being a friend..I think you are well advised to be cautious about such treatments
