Well, I believe Newport sold this stuff, vitamins and health store junk, for a living before she retired. If I remember correctly, that is...

That would explain her encouraging R&R to use it. She sold this kind of stuff or years. I wonder if the sales people in these kind of stores make a commission.

Who is Newport?Were posts poofed?

Hi Voyager {#emotions_dlg.wub} I've read many times in different forums here that the poster Gazelle here used to be the nic Newport - and Newport worked for like 20 years at a health food store.

Thanks.Did searches & if she's not ' newport ' ( who evidently changed her name to 'Subject ') they sound alike in their advice on supplements

Re: Is anyone using Sovereign Silver Spray?

I called the company today asking questions about their product and they swear it will not harm anyone and it is used for children to keep the flu away.......I am not going to use it again but the man on the phone has a radio show also and he was really nice.........said a person would not turn blue........it is silver in pure form..........99.99999% pure. Just wanted to post that I called the company. Of course they are not going to say it hurts someone but he says its pure. SO if anyone wants to call the number and have it out with him then I will post the number.

What a lovely sentiment for lulu, R&R. :-)

I agree that it was a kind and loving statement.

OK I WON"T TAKE ANYMORE over the counter until I see my doctor in two more months. Thank you all.

I am so glad you said that and please, please follow through. Do not ever under any circumstances take anything that your doctor does not prescribe for you. You know that I take and have been taking pain medications for years but the only thing I will take that my doctor does not prescribe are the Centrum Silver Vitamins. Don't take the advice of anyone other than your doctor.

Re: Is anyone using Sovereign Silver Spray?

To R&R: As a rule of thumb that I use…..I don't take ANY supplements without first consulting my primary care physician who has complete knowledge of what I take. I'm always fearful of interaction among drugs and supplements, and I really don't take a whole lot of 'scrips. It's just not prudent to not first consult with your doctor. It usually only takes a simple phone call to the doctor who is most familiar with everything you currently are taking.

I'm really glad to read you're not using this product any longer. The mere idea of either ingesting a metal or spraying a metal on a wound is scarey to say the least and very toxic.

Re: Is anyone using Sovereign Silver Spray?

I think you all are scaring R&R needlessly when it comes to silver, it is a known bacteria growth inhibitor. Have you ever heard of Silvadene cream, it is slathered on burn victims for its antibacterial properties. In fact the filter in our water urn (Propur) is silver inpregnated to help prevent bacteria growth.

If R&R has a skin condition this health food store gal lead her in the right direction. I believe it is sprayed (the hydrosol form) on patients with pressure sores or decubitus ulcers also known as bed sores. Who knows, she could have excema or psoriasis and that can be very dibilitating expecially if bacteria is introduced to a break in the skin which is very common. I know you all dont like to be told to educate your selves but really, this would be a good time before you shake your finger in R&R's face.

Now the natural diet pill she bought, forgot what it is called!, I agree, that one she should confir with her MD on as many herbs and Rx's shouldn't be mixed.

I say spray away R&R... JMO

WADR I see your point but pretty sure Silvadene's a RX cream & purity etc is regulated. We're talking here about a snake oil mixture in the colloidal silver stuff.jmo but I don't feel comfortable encouraging it since R&R seems heck bent on self medicating
