Re: Is anyone here from Connecticut Or Massachusetts?

I'm in Southeastern Connecticut.  For food:  Big Y or BJ's Warehouse.  Our new Costco doesn't seem to have much - JMO - maybe if I had a family I would like it better.  We don't have upscale stores here - basically only T.J. Maxx, Marshall's and HomeGoods. I went to HG yesterday for the first time in 16 months, and bought nothing.  At the casinos are some name brand stores, but I don't shop there.  I have transitioned to buying online for almost everything except food, and even that I order from QVC.

My sister in CT enjoys shopping (groceries) at Stew Leonard's.

I live in CT and have a summer place in MA.  What are you shopping for @Effie54 ?

I love antique furnishings, Tiffany lighting, and beautiful handmade one-of-a-kind items.

Greetings neighbor!  First time posting, but I couldn't resist.  Western CT here (Fairfield County). My go to (like a lot of folks) is Target.  Since the pandemic, I don't really go out too much but I'm definitely in Target at least once a week.  It's just so convenient for me.  Especially with the grocery section.  Last week I did venture out and went to one of the nicer Home Goods. I felt nice to do something a little normal.  I like Marshall's but haven't been there in a while. I'll do to Costco occasionally but try to stay away because I buy too much stuff and I'm only one person.  Other than that, a lot of online shopping.

Hey neighbor! Good picks for sure! Home Goods is a favorite of mine too. They were supposed to be a really fancy mall in the Norwalk area. I thought it was supposed to open around the Covid onset. We've never been down that way, but I wanted to venture out there to see what it was like. It seems like not many people on here are from New England. Good to see a fellow New Englander.

CT here.  I love to shop at T.J. Maxx!

For food I shop at a local organic co-op first, Big Y second and Stop & Shop third.  I don't go to ALDI because it is horrible here.

For other things I do my best to frequent small locally owned businesses.

Hit Costco or BJ's on alternate weeks for bulk staples and gas.

We finally have a Costco coming to South Windsor and should be open around Thanksgiving. Yeah!

Oh ya......Foxwoods outlets! I do love those for sure! I think the outlets at Foxwoods Are much better than the stores at Mohegan Sun.  Mohegan Sun stores are just regular retail, though they are lovely. I like the Michael Kors, UGG, and Talbots outlet at Foxwoods.
