Is UPS pushing back delivery dates? Or just my area. . .

The oddest thing is happening.  UPS keeps pushing back delivery dates every day.  A few things keep getting delivered, but I keep getting "delayed" notes day by day about a number of things.

Something to be delivered tomorrow (Saturday) is now rescheduled for next Wednesday.  It has been shipped.

@Sooner  I don't think it's just UPS. I've had delayed shipments from UPS, FedEx, Amazon and (of course) USPS. I think they are short staffed. Can't imagine what December is going to be like.

@Sooner  I had a package shipped FEDEX a few weeks ago.  Not a Q purchase.  It went from SantaFe NM...(I  live a 5 hrs drive from there in Colorado)..to Albq. NM to Phx AZ.  to Dallas TX. To St Louis MO..to Houston TX...to Albq NM...to Phx AZ and finally three weeks later to me..

It wasn't anything breakable...some nuts from Sams Club.  DW

@dancingwoman That's nuts. Dallas?  Maybe it came on a seat on a Southwest flight?  Maybe they bought it a ticket cheaper than the shipping fee!  Woman Very Happy

It sometimes depends on what is being shipped. We ship a thank you gift to folks buying from us, it's a rather expensive bottle of wine that is shipped via FedEx, overnight delivery. Due to the heat is many areas the packages are held-sometimes by the vintner sometimes by FedEx. But I know from talking to the Fedex folks that it is also due to them not have drivers. Our country is in a mess over all of the lack of workers.

On my last five orders, three have been lost, wrong shipping info sent to me or broken.  One pair of pants sat, waiting carrier pick up for 10 days.  Due to Labor Day, I was patient.  I called CS and told they were out of stock, given a refund.  They appeared at my door, the next day.  So I called and will pay for them.  Delivery from the Q is not what it was for so many years.

Yes, I agree our country is in a mess because of lack of workers.  What I don't understand is why?  Do people no longer need to work?

@Sunshine Kate The answer is no, people don't have to work.  If they did we wouldn't have these problems.
