I was reading the news today and came across an article about Las Vegas Boulevard - The Strip - being repaved, and that it was causing some traffic headaches.
And that led me to look at the Las Vegas "Spaghetti Bowl", a section of the freeway that has many bypasses & interchanges. One of my BFF's lives there and we rode on the Spaghetti Bowl a few times. I remember a part that we were on was so high that it felt like being in a high-rise building...a bit unnerving.
The Las Vegas Spaghetti Bowl
The development I lived in from 2000-2022 on the West coast had construction at the intersection near the entrance. It had construction from the day my child & I moved in, & it was still under construction when I moved out last year. No one ever asked or told why. No one seemed to know the final goal. And since it was warm weather there, construction season was year round. LOL
Is it Construction Season where you live?

It is always Fix the Road Season in Northeast Ohio. Always.

It is always road construction time here in NJ, and our traffic is horrendous anyway, construction making it even worse!

LOL! It's always road work season somewhere here in King County, Washington. I spent my first 61 years in Southern Calif. and never in my life there did I see so much road work!

I wish I got to pick the road in my little city this year. So in need of replacing!!!! But yep the temperature seems to dictate road repair time.

Road construction? Always somewhere in the Valley, typically in whatever direction I'm driving. Chip seal or new asphalt? Water/sewer repiping? Data lines? New lane striping? Curb lanes closed for new ADA sidewalk access? Freeway mystery? Large building projects causing curb lane closures (again)?
Then there's the years of light rail construction on a certain heavily travelled cross street. And major insterstate construction going North from Phoenix.
Some of it may taper off when it gets to be really hot, hot 24 hrs a day. I don't know how true that is since when it is really hot 24 hrs a day, I drive little as possible even tho my car has AC.

Hahahaha. Add me to the list. I don't think I've ever been on 95 when there wasn't construction going on!

YES! We have it going on here too, and in the community where I live our major in/out route is clogged daily. Remembering it is always such a challenge for me since I only drive it once a week or two. G'rrrrrrr. I cannot believe they could not wait until school was out of session.
