I know everyone prefers different types of hours presented on QVC......could be tech, clothing, home products, kitchen, etc. and they are disappointed when these shows aren't scheduled when they have time to sit and watch.....but ...is it me these days???  It seems every time i turn on QVC these days it is either beauty products/cosmetic/ gadets, etc or shoes/footwear........................maybe i am just tuning in at the wrong times...but it seems most times i tune in.....

The cosmetic/beauty shows on QVC is on a lot, I dont understand it because they have a station dedicated to beauty.  I like shoe shows, kitchen shows, and fashion, and occasionally the gadgets.  I dont watch them all the time and sometimes I record them to watch later if I want.

The answer to your question is in the program guide.

Could be you tend to 'sit down' at the same time of day and so see a lot of the same stuff presented.

To me it seems like they just present an endless stream of clothing and shoes. Not much beauty.

They feature many products in which I have zero interest like pillows, vacuum cleaners, mattresses, appliances, etc., etc.  However, I find the beauty programs, especially the all-day programming to be especially tedious.  It's a day of exaggeration  and bold-face lies to sell ridiculously over-priced products.  They must make a huge profit on this stuff to have so many shows.

For decades reports have said that cosmetic sales in the USA are in the Billions and Billions .... (with a B)  ......100% or more markup.....just like furniture and jewelry.

I miss gold.  Real solid, not plated, or electro - formed.

@fthunt.  I have no doubt this is absolutely true.

You'd think that with three channels, one dedicated just to beauty, that we could tune in and find some variety on Q's various stations, but many days, that just doesn't happen.

If Q has fashion, Q2 should be selling garden or home, or tech. If Q2 has beauty on, Q should be showing kitchen or something quite different from the other channel.

That would seem to be the way to capture more people. I know when I tune in, and all three stations have beauty (sometimes the same product or line of products on all three at the same time) I tune out and don't come back for a few days even.

Not the smartest marketing, in my opinion.
