Is General Hospital Next?

I read in one of the New York papers today that ABC is planning to cancel General Hospital and replace it with a Katie Couric talk show. It was reported she will not be staying with CBS and Matt Laurer will not be a part of the new show.

Although I never watch GH anymore I think that would be such a shame. Can't imagine afternoon tv without it. Back in the Luke and Laura, Frisco, Sean, Robert and Tiffany days I never missed a show. Those were the good old days. I hope this is not true.
