Is it all your channels?

I heard on the radio DirecTV is having a problem with their HD feed.

I have no channels. It seems there is a complete disconnect from communicating with any part of their system. I can't even change any of the settings.

The outtage seems to be very widespread.

This is what I'm gathering from reading stuff on the internet. If you are seeing channels like normal but you get a banner with a message saying something about your receiver not updating...DO NOT RESET YOUR BOX...DO NOT PRESS THE RED BUTTON. I did and then all channels went away.

@SilleeMee . Mine was off air for FOX News only early this morning and FOX went blank from 12:15 until about 1:30. All my other channels worked. I am in central NY. A friend called me from southern Pa and his FOX was blank those times and last night. It is working now.

That makes sense because not all customers are affected and the ones that are affected have different channels going out. Comments I've read about the problem seem to be about "transponders" malfunctioning. Geesh, you'd think they would have a backup system.
