Dan made his wife's illness and funeral very public, so I think it will be good for him to get back into the public eye. I don't think Dan would have a problem with phone calls either, some people feel better when others grieve with them.

I felt the same way when my dad died (I was 18 and just graduated from high school).

I really needed to be back at work (until I started college about a month and a half later). I worked with a small crew, and got my hugs and condolences and then asked everyone to not talk about it anymore. It was just easier for me, during those hours, to escape the sadness, and especially the sadness of my mother. There were plenty of hours at home to grieve as we needed, but we needed to do something "normal" and work was it.

I hope that Dan has as smooth a transition back to work as is possible for him at this time.

I'm wishing Dan Wheeler THE BEST ! He is a Wonderful Host, so many of us have experienced his pain, and many of us know that heartache of losing our Loved Ones...WE are here for him and we'll continue to lift him up. He WILL get through this ! His Daughters, and his Grands, will be his best Therapy...Their LOVE will help him during his Journey.

I am glad Dan Wheeler will be back on air tomorrow.  He will be co-hosting wih Dan Hughes at 6pm EST, Dan's gift favorites.  Dan & Dan ... should be a good show!

I just flipped on the TV and happened to catch the Dan and Dan intro...

I was shocked to hear him talk about the passing of his wife.

My deepest condolences to Dan and his family.
