That's one that never caught on with me. I see a lot of people who use it after everything they say, in between everything they say, and sometimes even before whatever they say, no matter that it's not even 'laugh out loud' worthy. It's kind of creepy, so it's one that I've never used.

It's like - lol we went to the store lol. it was so busy lol lol. lol I was so lol glad when we lol got home lol. GACK!

Anyway, most of them have been around for ages and if I come across one I can't figure out I just Google it and it comes up, usually, the first line.

I am guilty of using lol a lot here. It's because I can't do a wink, or devil, or other emotie to show I am not being totally serious. Since things are easily misunderstood here, I don't want someone blowing a gasket.

Years ago, on some other board, I remember asking a question and, at the end, I put 'TIA' as one often does, right? It's an oldie but goodie.

Well, that caused the person to think that my name was Tia and started calling me Tia after that. Oops!

Me too, VanSleepy...just to show I am not scolding someone or upset,.....not that what I am saying is hilarious! lol.....see?.........not all abbreviations annoy me,..just some.
