I bet it's hot in that thing.  It would be fun in a pool and probably cooler.

If I didn't know better, I would think I had come upon a YouTube video by some conspiracy theory website. Lots of outliers who think this virus is comical.

Re: Introducing the Bubble!

[ Edited ]

Not so far-fetched.  A couple of hundred years into the future I can see us having to deal with many new viruses so that people will have to be in protective "bubbles".  Click a button on a remote before you leave the house and a plastic type substance forms a shell around the body.

Wear a mask. Social distance. Be part of the solution - not part of the problem.

Nothing wrong with the OP in my opinion. I say lighten up as can't we have a light-hearted respite from the constant gloom and doom news around the virus?  Good grief, any attempt at some light humor and the Debbie Downers come out with their claws!

I think she's trying to be sarcastic and contemptuous of those she considers fearful. But this joke is pretty old now. I made the same basic joke early on when people were joking and riffing on the fashion possiblities of hazmat suits and latex getups.

One of these hamsterball thingys was used in a Next Top Model episode once, I believe. Can't remember which season or even which country. The models had to do a runway across a pool and of course many of them fell all over the place and looked a fool.

@KKJ Hard to lighten up when you lose a great friend to this virus. I know medical personnel with long term damage from having contracted this virus. It's just not funny and I if you want to call me a Debbie Downer, I have nothing for you. Sigh.

Not going to read a lot into the post. Going with no bad intentions. All I'm thinking is ... that bubble thing would be quite a workout. I'm thinking about the bubble going down a snowy hill. Could be fun.

not so new......these have been around for years now.....some with variations on the one pictured.

"bubble fighting" had been popular in recent years.
