One more note to add, I saw Linda Eder doing "Bring on the Men" while highly pregnant for a PBS special once and that was kind of hilarious. She had a lot of fun with it.

Hansel and Gretel was done on Grimm. It is about a homeless brother and sister. Thought it was in the first season, but looking at my CDs I think I am wrong.

I saw it -- I think it was the very first episode.

No, it is called the Organ Grinder and is in the first season and the 10th episode.

DH and I are real Grimmsters and we have the third season on the way via USPS.

Hi Shel, I saw it many years ago (the late 1980's?) and do not remember being all that enthralled by it. It was with the cast that won a number of Tony awards.

I seem to remember a revival 10 or so years ago.

It's not for everyone. There was a revival where Vanessa Williams played the witch.

When I saw it, Phylicia Rashad was the witch. I did recognize the little guy (very talented) playing Jack as the same one who played Gavroche in Les Miserables. He was really good.

DH, my daughter, 3 granddaughters, and I saw the movie today. Us girls all liked it. My husband said eh it was ok (and yes he usually likes all kinds of movies, even chick flicks).

Anyway I thought it was really good. I thought Anna Kendricks (Cinderella), and the two kids (Jack & Red Riding Hood) were the best in the movie. I think the kids should be up for awards but no doubt they wont be recognized.

The only bad thing I can say is I thought it was a tad too long. I am not familiar with the Into the Woods play so this is the first I saw this as the movie. But I did know the characters from fairy tales of course. My oldest granddaughter saw the play at school so she knew about it.

By the way its good we went to the morning show. When we were coming out, the theatre was lined out the door with people waiting to see this movie.
