Internet Explorer v. Firefox

I'd appreciate hearing the opinions of others on which browser they like better and why.

I've always used Internet Explorer but lately I've been having problems, such as the page freezing... often. It seems Microsoft has been fiddling around with IE while trying to beef up security, and reportedly that's what's causing problems like that those I'm having.

How do people like Firefox?
