Google Doodle is celebrating International Women’s Day 2019 with words of determination, courage and motivation from 13 international female leaders connecting to the larger theme of "women empowering women".
The interactive slideshow features artwork, designed by female artists around the globe, of quotes appearing in the native language of each respective speaker or writer.
The 13 featured women, both past and present, who are known for their accomplishments across a range of fields including science, sports and the arts.
In a statement, Google says it was no easy task to choose which quotes to use. “The process of choosing the thirteen quotes was extremely difficult, but we aimed to include a diverse representation of voices on a day which celebrates the past, present, and future community of diverse women around the world".
