@hsawaknow good luck on your test results and thank you for your post.

Something that seems to be overlooked is the fact that PP also offers diagnostic and treatment services to males.

Every woman deserves that .. Sadly one state in particular doesn't care about that and are doing everything in their power to take it away. People just think they performed one procedure. Hey people...how about you educate yourselves?

How anyone can be okay with that is mind blowing.

There are now two states that have cut Medicaid funding to PP.  Texas announced today; there is a 14 day stay in Louisiana.

PP has saved lives, prevented teen pregnancy,  and provides services to those who have no other option. I'm not so arrogant that I expect others to adhere to my values or be bound by my beliefs.

I have been a PP volunteer for 35 years, served on their Board of Directors for 6 years, ran several committees, and chaired some fundraisers.  When you see the work and dedication up close it is amazing what can be done on often a shoestring budget.

I personally went to PP for my yearly check-ups because, at the time I was a Board member, I learned that as a fully insured client, two uninsured women could have the same check-up with the profit of my visit.  This was a very easy way for me to help other women and I encouraged my friends to do the same.

PP is the one organization DH & I contribute to regularly.  We know how important donors are to an organization where most of the people who use it are not it's donors.  The motto of "Care.  No matter what." is exactly what they are.

PP was also there for me when I was a teenager. I agree that many go out of their way to make it seem like they only do one thing.

TBH, regardless if one is pro-life or pro-choice, what has always bothered me even when I was a teenager is how those that rally against PP etc. seem to be mostly males that will never need those services and can't get pregnant. What I have read and seen is that they vehemently oppose certain organizations and try to push laws to limit access because they are not and will never be directly impacted.

LIbbylady, I admire you and what you do for all of us whether we need PP's service or not.

So nice to hear all the positive voices on this thread.  Thank you for all the hearts.... I can't figure out how that is done so.... hearts right back!

I'm glad that some of you were/ are PP clients and donors.  I wish everyone was aware of all the available services for women, men and families who don't have the options that most of us take for granted.

Hi @Libbylady

To give a heart to a post, simply go to the post, click on the red heart at the bottom of that post, and your "heart" will be given to that post.

You will notice that once you do that, the heart turns gray and is no longer active to you (although others can still give hearts).  That's because one person can only give one heart per post.

And thank you for all the good work you have done for PP.
